Where to Get The Best Wheelchair For You and Your Loved Ones
Getting a wheelchair can be a difficult decision to make. After all, the wheelchair will be sat in for a long time. When choosing the right wheelchair, it’s important to consider the quality, comfort, affordability and the service of the wheelchair vendor. It’s also important to shop only from trusted and reputable vendors as a dishonest vendor might just refuse to meet their promises after you purchase from them.
We’ve gone around looking for some of the best wheelchair sellers out there, and have shortlisted them down to 6 of the best places.
Disclaimer: We did purchase from one of the companies, but we are in no way affiliated to any of the companies in this list.
Vertex Mobility Singapore
The Wheelchair we purchased from Affordable Wheelchairs – Vertex Mobility Singapore – $119.90.
Vertex Mobility is our favourite pick due to the affordability and quality of its wheelchairs. While it is affordable, it doesn’t compromise on quality and service. With one of its wheelchairs priced at $119.90, it’s one of the more affordable options out there.
The great thing about Vertex Mobility is that they are the only sellers with same day delivery for their wheelchairs. Most of the other wheelchair sellers we contacted had a delivery time of 3-5 days. As we needed a wheelchair urgently, we ordered one off their website, and as promised, it arrived within a few hours. Impressive!
The wheelchair which we chose was comfortable and lightweight, and it was able to fit into the boot of most cars, which was one of the more important reasons for us to purchase from them. In terms of functionality, it had all the things a proper wheelchair needed – Foldable, lightweight and comfortable to sit on.
The wheelchair also came with a 1 Year Warranty, which was very reassuring.
If are looking for a heavier duty wheelchair or a more portable one, they also have the wheelchairs to suit your needs. Do check out their products!

TiLite Aero from Rehabmart – $1673
Rehabmart has a number of showrooms located throughout Singapore. They’ve been in the business for a number of years, starting in 1995, and focuses on the retail model rather extensively. They are known to have some of the higher end models of wheelchairs and also one of the larger ranges. However, due to their reputability and brand, their wheelchairs are priced a little on the higher side. Aside from providing wheelchairs to customers, Rehabmart also has a large range of items ranging from hospital beds to walking aids.
We went down to their showroom to view their wheelchairs – and they certainly had a lot of them! However, they were a little too pricey for our simpler needs. We’re sure they would be great for someone with more specialized needs though!
If you’re looking for somewhere with a large complement of items, then Rehabmart is certainly the place to go to. If you’re someone who needs a more specialised wheelchair, then you can certainly try out the large range of wheelchairs at Rehabmart!

Ultra-Lite Motorized Wheelchair – $1999
Falcon mobility is a well known company that has a good range of products. They are known for the quality build and affordable pricing of their wheelchairs. Aside from wheelchairs, they are also distributors of mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs in South East Asia. Their reach extends to Malaysia and other parts of South-East Asia, with Singapore as their base.
When we visited their showroom, it was a well organised showroom with some mobility scooters as well as wheelchairs. Their range of electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters were amazing! One of their products – the ultra-lite motorized wheelchair, claims to be the lightest electric wheelchair in the world. We’re not sure about that claim, but at 14kg, it’s definitely remarkable.
The wheelchairs were of a decent range, though not as large as some other brands. Their main focus was definitely in the electric wheelchairs and motorized scooters department. Definitely a great place to go if you’re looking for an electric wheelchair.
Price Range of Wheelchairs: $199.90 – $300

Bion I-light Wheelchiar with elevating footrests – $480
Similar to RehabMart, Bion is a retailer of wheelchairs and other equipment. They have a rather unique range of wheelchairs, with one for every need. Bion’s footprint in Singapore is pretty large, with retail stores in many major hospitals. They have a main retail outlet at Ang Mo Kio, which we visited.
The good thing about the Bion showroom is that they have a great range of wheelchairs to choose from. There were about 10-20 wheelchairs for us to try, with each serving a specific function. For example, if you were taking care of a bedridden person, they have wheelchairs with foldable armrests for easier transport off and on the bed. The pricing for Bion is in the mid-range with prices ranging from $200 and above.
While Bion has a good range of products, their wheelchairs are also catered to the hospitals, as each wheelchair seems to be catered to very specific needs. The designs are rather similar, with the only differences being the functionality of the wheelchairs.
Bion also has a workshop, which means that should you be facing any problems with your wheelchairs, they have the capability to fix them.

The Golden concepts
The Golden Concepts was founded by Vanessa and Chang Xi, two women with a passion for providing elderly equipment for embracing ageing and living life to the fullest.
What’s unique about The Golden Concepts was that they started out as an e-commerce store. Within a short couple of years, the company grew and expanded from selling wheelchairs to numerous items.
Their showroom has a range of wheelchairs and also elderly accessories including specialised shower chairs, bedrails and other things. We found that while the range of products and service was excellent, most of their wheelchairs were already found elsewhere, as they were reselling BION and Falcon Mobility’s wheelchairs.
They did have a unique portable wheelchair called the HappyWheels Travel Wheelchair, which we found to be quite useful, but it wasn’t what we were looking for.
Price Range of Wheelchairs: $189.90 – $2000
Address: 3 Ubi Ave 3, Crocodile House #05-02B, 408857
Heavy Duty Wheelchair – $449
Rainbowcare was founded in 2008, and has become one of the more popular retailers of wheelchairs. They are known for their affordable wheelchairs as well as their wide range of hospital equipment. Serving both the hospital and home care industry, their equipment are widely trusted, with many types of equipment imported from all over the world.
What we found interesting about Rainbowcare was that their range of wheelchairs were actually one of the lighter weight ones. They had a pushchair with a 9kg weight.
Price Range of Wheelchairs: $220 – $2000
