A Must for Every CNY
Ask any Singaporean (who celebrates Chinese New Year) if they consume pineapple tarts during Chinese New Year, and the answer would be a big fat yes. No Chinese New Year is complete without pineapple tarts! These bite sized pastries are also popular with our non-Chinese friends, and some Singaporeans even purchase them to have as snacks during non-festive periods.
Determining which pineapple tarts are the best in Singapore (or even the World) can be tricky and subjective. Some individuals know exactly where to go to every year to get their pineapple tarts. If you are still one of the many Singaporeans looking for the special pineapple tarts to win over your hearts this Chinese New Year, worry no more! We at Masons Home Décor have come up with a comprehensive list of the top 10 pineapple tarts we have had in Singapore!
CNY Goodies Singapore (www.cnygoodies.sg) is a website by Bing Liang Bakery. They started from being a home bakery in Muar, Johor, catering to only the local market in Malaysia. Over the years, as their recipe evolved and word of mouth resulted in them getting pretty busy, they sought assistance to be able to effectively cater to a larger group of people without compromising on their known quality. Today, they are able to deliver to Singaporeans who once upon a time travelled all the way up to Johor just to bring home some of their delicious CNY delicacies. Their pineapple tarts exist in the form of the round ball form, nyonya sunflower shape, salted egg, and cheese. Proclaiming to be the best in Singapore, their pineapple tarts are not too sweet, have a great texture, and is created using homemade and handmade pineapple jam filling. They do offer free tasting to all customers at their premises too.

Pineapple Tarts Singapore
Looking at their name would not require a genius to guess their specialty! Pineapple tarts Singapore is an online store selling CNY goodies. The pineapple tarts from Pineapple Tarts Singapore are highly addictive. The exterior is sturdy and not flaky, the texture feels perfect, and the pastry is not too dry. The pineapple filling is well complemented by the buttery texture. The whole pineapple tart is also of the right amount of sweetness. We personally do not like pastry that is too sweet so this is definitely perfect.
We first got to know about them last year in 2017. We visited their sampling location to try it out before making a purchase. The shop front is very industrial but it is very clean. Apart from the perfect taste, another point we love about them is the convenience. They provide free delivery for orders above S$70.00. This year, all we needed to do was to place an order online at www.pineappletarts.sg. Yes, we did spend more than S$70.00, but the best part for us is not the free delivery – the best part is that we have already received our order!

True Blue Cuisine boasts a different type of Nonya style pineapple tarts from your usual mass market options at your neighbourhood supermarket. Their delicious handmade bite sized pastries seem to possess many different spices, carefully mixed together.
We took an Uber to visit them over the weekend. Do note that they are closed during lunch though. We waited for them to open through our own negligence but the store keeper was too kind to be so generous with the many samples.

The Connoisseur Concerto
We chanced upon a TCC located at Clarke Quay only to be shocked that they sell pineapple tarts! We have to say that the packaging is really cute and presentable. It makes a perfect gift for any relative or friend, especially if they have children. We were triggered to purchase a box of it because of how unique they looked. The taste leans more to the sweet side and the team members of Masons Home Décor who had a sweet tooth definitely gave it a thumbs up!
These are supposed to be bear shaped pineapple tarts. We felt however, that they could pass off as dogs too, making them extremely appropriate for CNY 2018!

Kele has built a legacy for themselves with regard to Chinese New Year goodies. Their CNY goodies are packaged well, making them perfect for gifts to anyone. We received some from our partners in the form of hampers last year in 2017. We have to say that the grade of these pineapple tarts are definitely above average. Beautiful packaging, sturdy pastry, and being not to sweet makes their pineapple tarts worthy for any taste bud!
Pineapple tarts from Kele give customers the right amount of sweetness. Its pastry is not too flaky nor too dry, it simply melts in your mouth! Warning – this is extremely addictive! Haha!
