Renato Colorado Pine Slim Christmas Tree

The Renato is our slimmest tree with maximum impact — and zero awkward gaps.

Crafted for homes that want the look of a tall, lush tree without sacrificing floor space, the Renato is the space-savvy sibling of our best-selling Mirabella. It offers the same full-branch styling in a more slender, upright profile — so you get all the volume without the bulk.

Unlike many skinny trees that look sparse or underwhelming, the Renato is densely built from tip to tip. It’s rich, deep green tone helps it look visually substantial even in the smallest corners, and its compact footprint means it fits where other trees can’t.

From entryways and tight corners to compact condos and cosy shops, Renato makes a big impression in a small footprint.

How to Choose Your Perfect Christmas Tree

Choosing a Christmas tree isn’t just about height — it’s about matching your tree to your space, ceiling height, design style, and lifestyle. Here's how to get it right the first time.

1. Start with the Height

Always leave at least 30 cm (1 foot) between the top of your tree and the ceiling, especially if you're using a tree topper.

  • If your ceiling is 2.4 m (8 ft), go for a 5 or 6 ft tree.

  • For ceilings around 2.7 m (9 ft), a 7 ft tree is ideal.

  • Homes or spaces with 3 m (10 ft) ceilings can accommodate an 8 ft tree comfortably.

💡 Watch out for ceiling fans, pendant lights, or aircon units! Measure carefully to avoid collisions.

2. Don’t Forget About Width

Tree width affects how much floor space you’ll need — not just height.

  • Slim trees (around 60–100 cm wide) are great for corners, bedrooms, or smaller HDB flats or studio apartments.

  • Standard trees (100–130 cm wide) suit most living rooms, offices, and open spaces.

  • Grand, showpiece trees (130 cm and above) are designed for large entryways, foyers, lobbies, and retail spaces.

Always allow 15–20 cm of space around the tree so it doesn't feel cramped or block movement.

3. How Real Do You Want It to Look?

Masons Trees come in two types of realism:

  • Traditional PVC: Budget-friendly with soft, classic branches. Less lifelike, but great for loading with ornaments.
  • Hyper Realistic PE: Our most premium range. Molded needle structure looks almost indistinguishable from a real fir or pine tree.

💡 For those who do not want too many ornaments: The more realistic your tree, the fewer ornaments may need — the branches already look stunning on their own. For traditional trees, you may want to add more decorations to achieve the same wow factor.

4. Consider Density for Decorating Style

Did You Know? In Singapore, Masons trees are generally at least 2x Denser than what you find in the market.

Full & lush trees are perfect for families or anyone who loves decorating with lots of ornaments and lights.

Ultra dense trees are best for commercial displays or showpiece living rooms that need to impress.

Airy & sparse trees are the for those who prefer a more economically priced tree. You can fill up the gaps with tree picks and sprays.

5. Think About Colour and Texture

Not all greens are equal. Many cheap trees use saturated, bright, flat green that looks fake.

Mason's trees feature:

  • Dark green: Deep natural greens with layered shading
Pairs better with warm coloured ornaments such as red, gold, or brown.

  • Light green: Frosted tips or two-tone needles
Pairs better with cool coloured ornaments such as blue, silver, or white.

In Summary

To find your perfect tree, consider:

  • Your ceiling height and floor space

  • Desired realism and density

  • Your design style and lifestyle needs

Avoid making these common mistakes:

  • Buying a tree that’s too tall and forgetting to account for the topper

  • Choosing a width that blocks walkways or doorways

  • Assuming all artificial trees are the same — they’re not. Quality varies greatly

Decorating Your Tree

How Many Ornaments Should I Buy?

Sometimes you may not want to get our Starter Kits or pre-determined Premium Bundles, and wish to pick out your own ornaments so that you can dress your tree according to your festive style.

The quantity of ornaments you should buy depends on the height of your tree. Refer to our guide below.

Your Masons tree looks beautiful undecorated — but when dressed right, it becomes the showpiece of your home.

How to Decorate Your Christmas Tree

The Ultimate Guide to Decorating Your Christmas Tree

Step 1: Put on Your Lights

Each cable of light is 10 metres, having 100 bulbs.

Follow the recommended number of cables to purchase in the table above.

Stringing the lights on a Christmas tree

Start coiling your lights around your tree at 10-15 cm intervals of each line.

Should you prefer a more intense effect, you can coil them at more narrow intervals and connect more lights later.

Step 2: Adding More Lights

Extension cable for Christmas tree lights

When you have finished coiling the first cable, simply connect one cable to another to extend your lights

Step 3: Hiding Your Lights

Your lights are already green wired to blend well with the tree.

Push them inward so that the branches of your tree cover the wires.

Want a more magical effect? Coil your tree entirely twice. With some cables shoved all the way in, and some just before the surface

Step 4: Adding Foundation Baubles (Palline)

Foundation baubles are often baubles of the same colour, sold in more quantity per packaging, and economical.

They provide a great foundation to the tree.

Fill your tree up in a distinct pattern to ensure it does not look awkward or funny later. We like to follow a triangular motion.

For those who prefer, you may even replace this part with larger flowers, or ribbons.

Step 4: Adding Tree Sprays and/or accent baubles

Tree Picks and Sprays are ornaments you shove into the tree. A tree spray is generally larger than a pick. Tree picks are mini sized.

Accent baubles are baubles usually sold in packaging of 4 or 6 to add some accents of life and design to your tree. They should not be over-used like your foundation baubles.

Fill up the big gaps with tree sprays, also following a distinct pattern.

Step 5: Add Tree Picks

Decorating a Christmas tree with flower tree picks

Feel free to add more variety of tree picks.

Now, you can add the remanining empty spaces with tree picks.

Step 5: Put on Your Tree Topper

Adding the tree topper to a Christmas tree

Most tree toppers are in the format of a star.

Place it just at the top of the tree but do not insert the tip of the tree into the hoop of the star.

Simply place your star at the top and bend the surrounding branches to hold it. It looks more natural this way.

If you wish, secure it with a cable tie against the top of the tree.

This prevents it from falling if someone were to accidentally knock into the tree, or if naughty children went to shake it.

Optional: Add a Tree Collar or Skirt

Complete the look!

We really think you should.

You're Done!

You now have a beautifully decorated tree, ready for pictures.
