Will this tree fit your home?
1. Start with the Height
Always leave at least 30 cm (1 foot) between the top of your tree and the ceiling, especially if you're using a tree topper.
-
If your ceiling is 2.4 m (8 ft), go for a 5 or 6 ft tree.
-
For ceilings around 2.7 m (9 ft), a 7 ft tree is ideal.
-
Homes or spaces with 3 m (10 ft) ceilings can accommodate an 8 ft tree comfortably.
💡 Watch out for ceiling fans, pendant lights, or aircon units! Measure carefully to avoid collisions.
2. Then Check Width
Tree width affects how much floor space you’ll need — not just height.
-
Slim trees (around 60–100 cm wide) are great for corners, bedrooms, or smaller HDB flats or studio apartments.
-
Standard trees (100–130 cm wide) suit most living rooms, offices, and open spaces.
-
Grand, showpiece trees (130 cm and above) are designed for large entryways, foyers, lobbies, and retail spaces.
Always allow 15–20 cm of space around the tree so it doesn't feel cramped or block movement.
